MT. TOMAH, BOTANIC GARDENS
Another post featuring The Blue Mountains, this time we're focusing on a park that's a favourite for many, and only two hours away from Sydney CBD. The Botanic Gardens located in Mount Tomah, is a place where you can enjoy a picnic or a stroll, similar to Leura Cascades, except this place is great for if you want to enjoy a casual walk near flower gardens as there are no strenuous hikes.
There's much to do in the gardens. If you're interested in something more attuned to nature, you can do the Lady Nancy Fairfax walk which lets you journey into the jungle and provides some informative signs about the surrounding area. There's also a kiosk and a restaurant for if you haven't brought any food or wish to dine there, and near the restaurant you can enjoy the observation deck that allows you to look over the entire garden.

The gardens are huge, and there's so much to explore (even a mini gallery with the paintings for sale), and if that's not enough for you, then nearby there are plenty of hiking trails as you drive further into the mountains which let you overlook the Aussie bush from cliffs.
If you love nature, walking, and want to appreciate the natural world, these gardens provide just that and more.
